Introducing Australia's first Head and Neck Cancer Helpline

A huge congratulations to Head and Neck Cancer Australia who have successfully launched the new Head and Neck Cancer Helpline - a free and confidential service for patients, carers and families run by experienced Head and Neck Cancer nurses and a counsellor.

What does the Helpline offer?

  • Expert information and referrals: The Head and Neck Cancer nurses are specialists in Head and Neck Cancer who can provide evidence-based information and guidance to help people affected byt cancer better understand and manage Head and Neck Cancer and refer them to peer support and other relevant services.     
  • Emotional support: Their Counsellor is available to listen and can offer emotional support and practical strategies for living with a Head and Neck Cancer diagnosis and beyond.

How to access the helpline - 

Whether you're a patient, carer, family member, or healthcare professional, the Head and Neck Cancer Helpline offers free, confidential support and guidance.

  • Live Chat: If you're unable to speak on the phone, the Live Chat service will connect with one of their Helpline team members.

Funded by the Australian Government, the Head and Neck Cancer Helpline is an integral part of the Australian Cancer Nursing and Navigation Program that aims to ensure all people affected by cancer are empowered with education, resources, and the support they need to better navigate the health system.
