Purpose: This document outlines the process for organisations to partner with the Cancer Nurses Society of Australia (CNSA) in hosting and facilitating Communities of Practice (CoP). The aim is to ensure clear expectations, effective collaboration, and successful delivery of shared goals.

  1. Organisations interested in partnering with CNSA submit an EOI form detailing:
    • Topic or focus area for the Community of Practice.
    • Organisational background and subject matter expertise.
    • Proposed goals and objectives for the CoP.

    • Develop a schedule for CoP sessions, including frequency and format
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring the success of the CoP.

Step 3: Launch and Implementation

  1. CNSA promotes the CoP through:
    • Newsletters, social media, and website announcements.
    • Invitations to relevant CNSA member groups and networks.
  2. Partner organisation facilitates CoP sessions:
    • Host discussions and share expertise.
    • Encourage active participation from members.
  3. CNSA provides ongoing support:
    • Monitor and manage the online platform.
    • Troubleshoot any technical issues.
    • Act as a liaison between members and facilitators.

Step 4: Pilot Evaluation and Continuous Improvement

  1. Pilot phase:
    • All CoPs will run for a 12-month pilot phase ending in December 2025.
  2. Post-implementation review:
    • Collect feedback from CoP members through surveys and discussions.
    • Evaluate performance against the agreed KPIs.
  3. CNSA and the partner organisation jointly identify:
    • Opportunities for improvement.
